@ES The obtained results were as follows.
@EN 1) The cause of perforation was mainly indirect trauma(226 cases, 96.6%).
2) The perforation of left ear(80.5%) was more frequent than right ear(18.6%).
3) The rate of location of perforations was 43.5% in the antero-inferior quadrant, 27.8% in central area, and 20.1% in postero-inferior quadrant.
4) The size of perforations was as follows. Grade I, 14 cases (60.%); Grade II, 108 cases(46.2%); Grade III, 61 cases (26.1%); GradeIV, 36 cases(15.4%), Grade V, 15 cases (6.3%).
5) The shape of perforations was variable, Irregular round, 133 cases (56.9%), Round, 58 cases(24.8%), Linear, 14 cases(5.6%), Triangular, 12 cases(5.3%), Semicircular, 10 cases(5.1%), Star-like shape, 7 cases(2.3%).

9) The mean degree of hearing loss in the cases of conductive type was 24.8 dB and the degree was closely related to the perforation size.
10) Spontaneous healing rate until 2 months on conservative treatment was 81.7% (49 of 60 cases).
11) Healing rate until 2 months on patch treatment was 94.1% (48 of 51 cases).
12) 9 cases(24.3%) among 37 cases complained of tinnitus were not improved in spite of vasodilator and vitamin therapy.
